Greetings friends and welcome to this week’s blog. It’s the middle of April but it’s been looking a lot like January with all of the snow that we’ve had this past week. April snow makes a May rose I guess ha ha ha. We’re just 12 days away from the Opening Day of our General Admission Season, that’s right April 27th is the big day. In our past few blogs we have been looking at the different areas of Timbavati Wildlife Park and this week we are looking at The Woodlands Area. The Woodlands Area like every other area in…

Greetings friends and welcome to this week’s blog post. Spring is in full swing and it’s almost time for our opening day for general admission. The last couple of weeks we have been covering different areas of Timbavati Wildlife Park. Today we’re taking a look at the Waterfalls Area. The Waterfalls Area has its name because guess what, it’s filled with waterfalls. I mean this is the water park capital of the world right? So this part of the park is filled with them as the falls and rock work form the background of one of the most unique personal…

Greetings friends and welcome to April 2019! Wooo that’s right this rock has already completed a quarter of this year’s orbit around the sun. Today of course is April Fools’ Day so I want you to be mindful of the pranksters out there telling you that your shoes are untied ok? The Grasslands Area is open during our general admission season which begins at the end of April. This area is home to our signature Giraffe and Camel feeding encounter.…

In the next few weeks leading up to opening day we will be taking a look at all of the different areas of the park and what their general offerings are. Before we dig in I am inclined to remind you that the species of animals and their locations within Timbavati Wildlife Park are subject to change without notice. With that said, let’s take a look at…

Greetings friends and welcome to this week’s post! First let me begin by saying welcome to September. The summer season is drawing to a close and while some businesses in our area are shutting their doors for the year, we are still rocking and rolling through the fall! We’re actually open all year long for tours. Ok moving on from the opening volley here, we have a double topic this week. For Search Engine Optimization (SEO) purposes, I need to type the word “Aoudad” in the first paragraph LOL. Ok the picture you’re seeing here is our very own herd…

Our New Zebra Foal Firecracker!

Our New Zebra Foal Firecracker!

Posted July 16, 2017 in Uncategorized

That’s right ladies and gentlemen our zebra foal that was born on the 4th of July is a boy. Firecracker is one of our newest residents in the park and we needed to make sure both baby and mom were comfortable before we went in and gave him a check up. That’s an interesting thing about a baby zebra and mom. When the baby is born, the mom will keep baby close and away from the herd. This will allow the baby to become more familiar with the sights, sounds and smells of mom. The foal will begin to walk…
