1) How long does it take to go through the Park?
Depending on your level of interest, you could easily make your adventure to Timbavati’s Wildlife Park a full day of enjoyment. If you are on a tighter time schedule, three (3) hours could give you a pleasant, but not as thorough view of all the Park has to offer. The pig races run about fifteen (15) minutes. The Wildlife Shows begin seating about fifteen (15) minutes prior to the show and last approximately fifteen (15) minutes. The Safari Train option runs about thirty (30) minutes.

2) Do groups need to make reservations? Minimum group?
With a group of 20 or more, it is our recommendation to receive a confirmation# authorizing you to group prices. We want to make your visit with us a pleasant and memorable adventure. This would be a welcomed beginning to starting out your visit with us with such advance planning. Email: groups@timbavatiwildlifepark.com or SUBMIT the .pdf form that we have on-line as well.

3) Do I have to specify the date I am visiting when purchasing tickets online?
For your planning convenience, it is not necessary to notify us of your dates. Feel free to visit our website often, our calendar shows the various nursery animals that are ready to join our other headliners, along with our pig race, camel ride and wildlife show dates. Please enjoy this feature so that your trip to us can remain flexible to your schedule.

4) May I leave and return during my visit to Timbavati?
With our wristband feature you will need to re-check in with our front gates and get your hand stamped – in addition to keeping your wristband(s) on. Our wristbands are color coded by each day of the month, so when you return – it needs to be that same day. We truly welcome you returning to our Park, and thoroughly understand that – at times – our guests may need to leave, but yet still desire to return later to finish all that we have to offer.

5) Can I rent a stroller or wheelchair?
Yes, you have the ability to rent these additional items during your stay with us and cannot be taken off Park premises. The opportunity to rent such items is only based on the availability of these items at the time of your arrival.

6) Can I bring my own stroller? Are there any stroller restrictions?
You are more than welcome to bring your own stroller(s). Depending on the size of your stroller some restrictions may apply on the Safari Train and, at times, during the Wildlife Shows, Pig Races and Camel Rides, the area may get filled quickly as the spacing outside of the bleachers is limited.

7) Is the train wheelchair accessible?
Timbavati’s Safari Train is not wheelchair accessible.

8) Is there an ATM machine at Timbavati?
Yes, the Park does have an ATM unit on the Park grounds.

9) Am I allowed to bring food into the Park?
Yes, you can. We currently have several Pavilions on the property, which allow you to either bring in your own food or even have it catered in. Some of the pavilions are equipped with cookout grills and pits for your personal use. They are available on a first come, first serve basis – when they are open to the public. (Advance reservations can be made to assure that a unit is made available for your groups’ eating time(s), there is a fee attached to this of $175.00 for each group’s time slot). Clean up after the use of the Pavilion is the responsibility of our guests (unless previously arranged to have this service provided for you). We thoroughly want you to enjoy your visit, but stress that you are unable to use this feature for an extended period of time. We request this so that all of our guests can use this amenity of the Park and enjoy their stay as well.

10) Does Timbavati have a lost and found?
Yes, we do. It is located at our administrative offices on the property. You will be required to describe the item in detail, along with leaving a photo ID and phone # with us. It will be shredded at the end of each week.

11) Do I have to make reservations for the Wildlife Shows and Pig Races?
No, you do not. It is recommended that you find a seat approximately 5 to 15 minutes prior to its’ start up time though. It will increase your opportunity to find a comfortable seat on our benches provided. This feature is popular and will fill up fast. Visit our calendar for the days this FREE feature is made available to our guests. Even if posted, it is a weather permitting activity.

12) Do you offer behind the scenes tours?
At this time, the Park is not offering such tours but is anticipating a wide array of “themed” tours in the future. Please re-visit our website for an update on each feature as it progresses and evolves. We are excited to extend this at a later date.

13) What type of animals do you have in your “unique” petting zoo?
Because of our wide variety of animals that stay at the Park throughout each season, this is always changing. Our guest services will greet you, once on the grounds, relaying specifics that the Park is offering that day. Each animal headlined can change from day to day.

14) Does the park close during the winter? Are you open Holidays?
May 1^st through the end of October is our current anticipated season. Though we are anticipating being closed during the other months and holidays, please continue to visit the website should we offer additional park dates to the public.

15) Can I volunteer at Timbavati?
We are unable to accept any volunteers at this time.
